Educational Philosophy

At Live Oak Preschool and Childcare, we believe in providing high quality care for your children so they may learn and grow to reach their full potential. We strive to enrich your child's mind with a challenging and fun curriculum, advance their bodies with developmentally appropriate practices, and nourish their hearts and souls in a Christian environment. Attention is given to the physical environments as well, to ensure the safety and well-being of every child in our care.

Program Information
We provide children with encouragement, stimulation and guidance for physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth.  Each child is unique with individual interests and needs.  Our daily activities and play experiences are planned in accordance with your child's age, developmental levels and interests.  Children are grouped according to their age and each room is designed to maximize early learning experiences.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to lay a firm academic foundation for your child. In the A Beka program, twos, threes and fours will develop character through traditional teaching methods and Biblical disciplines. It will help children learn colors, shapes, number & letter recognition and concepts such as following directions, listening and thinking skills as well as visual perception and hand-eye coordination. To develop reading and writing readiness, your child will be introduced to short and long vowel sounds, simple consonant sounds and consonant and vowel blends. Physical fitness, social living, team building, and cultural lessons are incorporated into our curriculum to provide an outstanding preschool experience.

Employee Qualifications

At the time of employment, each employee is required to have a physical examination completed by a doctor and must complete an orientation process. All employees are required to submit to a criminal background check, as well as a child abuse and registry check. Our employees also attend a minimum of 12 hours of early childhood education annually.  At least 50% of our staff are certified in CPR and Pediatric First Aid.
